Acacia Koa: Oned of my clients set me up with a neighbor last Saturday. I'd call him the day before to set up the meeting and he talked non-stop without taking a breath. Acacia Koa: Hi. Was in the middle of your "Snow Blind" from "A Red Hot New Year" when I came to the second paragraph on page 220. "The line of fur (FIR) trees -- Aspen..." Somebody wasn't paying attention during editing. Fir are evergreen and Aspen are deciduous. Sorry to be so picky, but it stopped me in my cross-country ski tracks. Other than that, lovin' the story.

Episode 8 of So Many Books with Heather Summerhayes Cariou

Mea culpa!  The next installment of Confessions of a Contest Judge is in the works, but I’ve been busy. Mondo busy. Crazy busy.  As a man from Texas once told me, when apologizing for not returning my calls, I’ve been “busier than a one legged kitty trying to bury a turd.”  (Imagine with West Texas accent to make it even funnier).

As proof, I offer the latest episode to get back from edits (which I do myself) of my TV show, So Many Books.  The episode features Heather Summerhayes Cariou, author of the memoir Sixtyfive Roses. It’s the most moving episode yet, and may require a Kleenex alert, especially if you make it to the closing credits, which include a clip of the author’s sister’s last TV interview, shot very close to her death from Cystic Fibrosis.

Eva Longoria has optioned the film rights for the book, so expect to hear more about Sixtyfive Roses.

Okay, first I have to finish watching ALL of these, but I am going out and getting this book. I love sister books, and books about family and all of that plus it's uplifitng and the author used the word peripatetic. It is a wonderful word and my last experience with it was in regards to a hedgehog! I am still thinking one would be an interesting pet.
